Princess Eugenie has released a touching video of her husband Jack Brooksbank, 40, tenderly holding their daughter Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank, now two months old, to celebrate the couple's eighth wedding anniversary. Eugenie, 36, wrote alongside the clip: "What you can't hear in this video is Jack asking our daughter if she likes her head being massaged that way… so thoughtful, caring, and best Dada there is to our 3." Adelaide was born on August 3 in Lisbon — an unusual distinction in contemporary royal history. She is the youngest of three children, joining five-year-old August and three-year-old Ernest, affectionately known as Augie and Ernie.
The name Adelaide honours "three people we love and admire past and present", including the late Queen Elizabeth II, and reflects the family's ties to both England and Portugal.
Being born in Lisbon puts Adelaide among a very small group of British royals delivered outside the UK, a consequence of Eugenie and Jack having made Portugal their home.
Eugenie and Jack first crossed paths on a skiing trip in Switzerland in 2010 and went on to wed at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle on October 12, 2018.
