Big Brother is hit with over 7,000 Ofcom complaints over Omar's treatment of Rhianna as fans demand 'get him out'
Monday's episode drew 7,138 complaints, a record for the series that smashes the previous peak of 1,191 on 30 September. Ofcom is assessing them but has yet to decide whether to investigate. Omar El Mayer, 21, told Rhianna Collins, 21, 'don't look away from me' after she tried to end their romance. Women's Aid warned the show 'risks presenting abuse as a form of entertainment'.
Producers called Rhianna to the Diary Room to check on her welfare.
Omar told her: 'You've really f***ed me off by saying what you said.'
ITV insists housemates are monitored 24 hours a day by a dedicated welfare team.
