Body is found in a Glasgow country park four days after missing teenager, 17, was last seen in Milngavie

The family of Kristijonas Demcenko, 17, have been informed after a body was found in Mugdock Country Park on Friday. Police Scotland say identification is yet to be formally completed. The teenager had missed an important appointment in Glasgow on Wednesday, heightening concern among his relatives. Officers are not treating the death as suspicious.

CCTV footage captured him heading in the direction of Mugdock Road car park with a black bag.

Police called on Milngavie residents to check garden sheds in case he had taken shelter there.

A report will now be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
