Body is found in Mugdock Country Park during the hunt for a Glasgow teenager who vanished on Monday

Kristijonas Demcenko, 17, was last seen at 2.30pm on Monday October 12, heading along Mugdock Road in Milngavie towards the car park. Concern mounted after he missed an important appointment in Glasgow on Wednesday. Police Scotland announced that a body was discovered on Friday and that his family have been informed, though a formal identification has yet to be carried out. Officers are not treating the death as suspicious.

CCTV captured him dressed in a black jacket, black jeans and black trainers with white soles.

Residents were asked to check garden sheds, as he may have gone there looking for shelter.

Police will send a report on the death to the Procurator Fiscal.
