Body is found in Mugdock Country Park in the search for a Glasgow teenager, 17, missing since Monday

Kristijonas Demcenko, 17, was last seen at 2.30pm on Monday 12 October on Mugdock Road in Milngavie, caught on CCTV heading towards the car park. Concern grew after he failed to appear at an important appointment in Glasgow on the Wednesday. On Friday, a body was discovered and, pending formal identification, his family have been notified. Police Scotland are not treating the death as suspicious.

Milngavie residents had been urged by police to check garden sheds and outbuildings in case he was sheltering there.

He was wearing a black jacket, black jeans, and black trainers with white soles.

Police will send a report on the death to the Procurator Fiscal.
