Police investigate 'unexplained' death after the body of a missing 18-year-old was found days after a night out in Ashby-de-la-Zouch
James Corlett, 18, from Swadlincote, Derbyshire, had not contacted his family or friends since leaving home on the evening of Thursday 29 October for a night out in nearby Ashby-de-la-Zouch. Leicestershire Police found his body in the town after the inquiry was transferred from Derbyshire Police when information suggested he had remained in the area.
Officers described his disappearance as 'completely out of character' and said they were 'extremely concerned' for his welfare.
South Derbyshire MP Samantha Niblett paid tribute, urging people online to show 'kind words and consideration, no speculation'.
His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers as further enquiries continue.
