Bodycam footage released of police tackling drug dealer posing as Deliveroo rider after Cardiff sentencing

South Wales Police have released bodycam footage showing the moment officers chased and restrained a drug dealer posing as a food delivery courier in Adamstown, Cardiff. The suspect told officers his e-bike was "a legal bike, I swear to God" moments before fleeing, and was caught with cannabis stuffed inside a yoghurt tub and cocaine in a separate compartment of his fake Deliveroo bag. Nahro Gharib, 25, from Cyncoed, had pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply and was sentenced to 20 months in prison.

His e-bike was also found to be capable of reaching 59.2mph, making it illegal for road use.

Gharib was disqualified from driving for 17 months alongside his prison sentence.

He dropped a second bag in Gold Street during his flight, which officers opened to find more cannabis and cocaine.
