Bollywood star Tiger Shroff survives after gunmen fired seven shots at his car in Mumbai, wounding his driver
An audio message claiming responsibility threatened the lives of any film industry figures who work with Salman Khan. The speaker gave his name as Anil Pandit and asserted links to Lawrence Bishnoi's jailed gangster network, although police have yet to establish any gang connection. Three men riding a motorcycle opened fire on Sunday as Shroff, 36, left a Juhu football ground. His driver was hit in the hand and a bystander in the chest; both are stable.
Investigators believe the attackers knew his schedule, since Shroff used the ground for football every Sunday.
Police have formed 15 teams and have detained one person for questioning.
Maharashtra deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde vowed: 'We will put an end to this hooliganism.'
