Boy, 10, is left fighting for life and four others are hurt after a three-car crash in the Scottish Borders

The boy was a passenger in a Seat Leon that collided with an Audi Q5 and a Jaguar F Pace on the A701 between Broughton and Blyth Bridge. The Seat and Jaguar drivers were taken to hospital with serious injuries, while a teenage boy in the Seat and a woman in the Audi also received treatment. Police shut the road for roughly seven hours.

The collision occurred at around 12.15pm on Friday, with the road reopening at approximately 7.10pm.

Police have released no details of any injuries to the Audi's driver.

Sergeant Grant Hastie urged drivers to check their dash-cam footage for 'anything of significance'.
