Boy, 13, stabbed in Taco Bell toilets in Rochdale after mob of 25 youths armed with knives stormed restaurant

A 13-year-old boy was stabbed in the toilets of a Rochdale Taco Bell on Saturday evening after approximately 25 youths allegedly forced their way past a door guard and flooded the restaurant, leaving the victim seriously injured while families looked on in horror. Diner David Lane used napkins to apply pressure to the wound, saying he believed the boy would not have survived without his intervention. Greater Manchester Police have since arrested two teenagers on suspicion of assault and possession of a bladed article.
Lane had begged staff at 5.50pm to lock the doors after a group of children entered and began fighting — they never did.
The victim was in the toilet moments before the mob forced their way in and attacked him there.
An air ambulance landed nearby as CSI officers cordoned off the Riverside Walk restaurant, which remains closed.
