Boy, 14, is stabbed on the ninth level of Manchester Arndale car park as armed police swarm the shopping centre
A 14-year-old was seriously injured in what police called an 'altercation' at the city-centre shopping complex at 3.20pm on Saturday. Greater Manchester Police deployed multiple armed response units alongside its Tactical Aid Unit, with vans stationed along High Street, Dantzic Street and Withy Grove.
Greater Manchester Police say enquiries into the stabbing are still ongoing.
A witness near Shudehill described seeing 'police cars, sirens and ambulances' everywhere.
'I was scared. I vacated the area as soon as possible,' she said.
