A masked 15-year-old boy stabbed a girl in the back in a corridor at Thorpe St Andrew School near Norwich on 11 March, with prosecutors at King's Lynn Crown Court telling jurors he had armed himself with a kitchen knife and intended to kill her. The defendant, now 16, had written his motive as 'misanthropy, misogyny, suicide, bullying' and kept notes including a 'victims list' and the line 'I really want to do it really bad — I need a plan.' He has denied attempted murder but has admitted possessing the knife and wounding with intent.
A phone video found by police showed serial killers Ted Bundy and Ed Kemper 'dancing over a still image of the globe', which the prosecution says the boy created himself.
It was 'sheer good fortune', prosecutors said, that the girl's wound needed only to be glued together at hospital before she was discharged the following day.
His written notes included the chilling target line: 'Death = 2+ hopefully, injuries a lot hopefully.'
