Woman, 34, drives a pickup through a youth soccer game in Kansas, killing a boy, six, and a man, 35

The driver had two children in the truck with her, while her own child was at a different field at the Stryker Sports Complex. Ten people were taken to hospital with traumatic injuries, five of them children aged five to nine. Captain Aaron Moses said police are 'still working to determine how this happened and why'. By Saturday evening, officers had spoken to more than 30 witnesses.

The dead boy and man were both from McPherson, Kansas, but were not related.

Parents pulled the driver from the truck as she shouted: 'Oh my God, what have I done?!'

Police Chief Joe Sullivan said bystanders 'sprang into action' to give lifesaving aid before medics arrived.
