Bradley Walsh's Channel 4 gameshow Million Pound Shot is exposed as a FAKE anti-gambling stunt after a 'contestant' loses £6,000

Bradley Walsh, 66, faced a stunned studio audience on Sunday night and declared that 'everything you've seen tonight draws on the techniques used by the gambling industry to manipulate its customers.' The fictional contestant 'Reece' — whose character drew on the real-life experiences of a man named Patrick — was shown placing a £1,700 bet with his girlfriend's approval, before his losses mounted to £6,000 and he walked out of the studio in tears.

Walsh said he 'feels strongly' about gambling harm, and issued a viewer warning that the content 'may be difficult and upsetting.'

The hoax divided audiences sharply, with one viewer on X calling it 'the most obvious fake show I've ever seen' while the gambling industry also responded publicly.

An audience member heckled Walsh mid-broadcast, shouting 'the concept of this is disgusting' as Reece was pressured to use his overdraft to keep playing.
