Bristol mother who killed her three children at their home is given an indefinite hospital order after admitting manslaughter
Yasmeen Ali, 44, faced murder charges before pleading guilty to manslaughter on grounds of diminished responsibility at Bristol Crown Court. Her three victims were Fares Bash, seven, Joury Bash, three, and baby Mohammed Bash, nine months. The children were found dead on Blaise Walk in Sea Mills, Bristol, on 18 February 2024. Ali is now held in a secure psychiatric hospital.
An inquest established that the children died of knife wounds to their chests and necks.
Father Alfil Bash said he 'could not get his head around what had happened'.
Avon and Somerset Police had previously been in contact with the family, yet no watchdog investigation followed.
