Bristol mother who stabbed her three children to death is given an indefinite hospital order as NHS trust admits failings
Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust wrote to the court admitting failings in the care Yasmeen Ali, 44, received. Ali killed Fares, seven, Joury, three, and baby Mohammed at their Sea Mills home in February 2024. Charged with murder, she admitted manslaughter by diminished responsibility at Bristol Crown Court. Mr Justice Linden found her offending 'almost entirely attributable to mental disorder'.
Ali rang 999 speaking Arabic and told police she was 'going to God'.
Officers found her with self-inflicted stab wounds, 'looking like a zombie'.
The children's father, Alfil Bash, left court as their injuries were read out.
