Households will receive official guidance to keep supplies such as bottled water, canned food, and battery-powered or wind-up radios on hand in case of war, power failures, or natural disasters. The nationwide campaign is set to launch later this autumn. Among the threats driving the initiative are Russian grey zone attacks, a major El Niño event, and the risk of AI-linked power cuts. Emergency plans released alongside the campaign also reveal that hotels could be requisitioned if needed.
