Britain's adult minimum wage is set to rise by 3.9 per cent to £13.20 an hour under Labour's pay plans

John Healey is expected to announce the increase at the Budget on Wednesday, lifting the adult rate from its current level to £13.20 an hour. Unions and low-pay campaigners had pushed for a higher settlement ahead of the announcement.
The 3.9% uplift covers adult workers; separate rates for younger workers and apprentices are also expected to change.
Some business groups have warned that further increases risk pushing employers to cut hours or slow hiring.
