British mother, 36, drowns trying to save her two sons from a Bahamas current despite her husband's 'kiss of life'

Leanne Gregory, from Stapleford in Nottinghamshire, jumped in off Bimini on Tuesday after a strong current swept away her two sons, both in their early teens. Bystanders pulled the boys to safety, but rough seas prevented rescuers from getting to her. Water taxi captain Linty Stuart said his boat was rocked by a seven-foot wave. She was pronounced dead at a local clinic.

Witness Katie Rescinit: 'She's a hero... two of the best parents I've ever seen.'

Mother-in-law Kim Jones said the boys 'can both swim' but the current overpowered them.

Nathan and Leanne's relationship spanned more than 20 years, dating back to when they met at school.
