Jack Mellon's brother has led tributes to the 17-year-old, whose body was discovered on Ashgill Road in the Milton area of Glasgow on Wednesday evening. A 22-year-old man has been charged and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today. After a post-mortem examination, Police Scotland confirmed that Jack's death is being investigated as murder. Local residents described themselves as "heartbroken" and said they no longer feel comfortable allowing children to play outside.

Jack was found seriously injured after a disturbance at around 6.05pm on Wednesday and died at the scene.

Forensic officers in full-body suits and hazmat gear were seen combing the cordoned-off area of Ashgill Road, where a blue forensic tent had been erected nearby.
