Sarah Helm, whose post expressing support for Palestine Action on X was ruled by the Met Police to not meet the criminal threshold for prosecution.Jonathan Powell, whose wife Sarah Helm later asked online where she could sign a letter urging the Palestine Action terror ban be lifted.
Shadow national security minister Alicia Kearns says Jonathan Powell's household may have leaked how a terror ban was handled. His wife, Sarah Helm, posted 'God help us authors who support Palestine and Palestine Action' on X. Asked whether Powell had any input into the ban, she replied 'Nope and nope'. No 10 called Powell 'one of the finest diplomats in our generation'.
The Met ruled Helm's post 'did not meet the criminal threshold' and dropped the matter.
Helm went on to ask online where she could sign a letter urging the ban be lifted.
Burnham told MPs at PMQs the ban followed a 'rigorous and evidence-based process'.
