Businessman suing BA for £4m over Baileys slip is accused by former friend of training to sail on the Med

Andreas Wuchner, 44, says 'disabling migraines' from the fall destroyed his business and left him unable to earn. A former friend told Central London County Court he has pursued a wide range of business interests since. The friend claims Mr Wuchner travelled across Europe, bought a boat and gained boating licence in Croatia. His barrister Sarah Prager KC dismissed the new evidence as 'gossip'.

Mr Wuchner slipped in 2017 while carrying a tray of coffees to a Zurich flight.

A judge ruled in 2024 that he is owed some compensation from BA.

'It's tittle tattle from a former friend,' Ms Prager told Judge David Saunders.
