Businessman suing BA for £4m over Heathrow Baileys slip is accused by a former friend of training to SAIL

Sebastian Steiner, a former friend and business associate of Andreas Wuchner, 44, alleges that Wuchner bought a boat, acquired a boating licence in Croatia and made extensive trips around Europe. British Airways argues the evidence paints 'a radically different picture' of his disabilities. His barrister, Sarah Prager KC, dismissed it as 'tittle tattle'. Judge David Saunders nonetheless ordered BA to pay £100,000 in interim compensation.

When Wuchner slipped in 2017, he was carrying two espressos and two latte macchiatos.

He claims 'disabling migraines' destroyed his business and left him unable to work.

An earlier judge found it 'unusual' that BA took no immediate steps after the spill.
