Doctors had told James Bourne he had only 'a few years left to live' before the transplant. The Busted singer broke his silence on Monday in a message on his Spotify account and called his 33-year-old brother 'a hero'. He said Chris has 'saved my life yet again', and that both men are recovering well from surgery in hospital. 'I can't believe how much better I'm starting to feel already,' he added.

Bourne withdrew from the Busted vs McFly tour just 24 hours before the opening show.

Bandmates Charlie Simpson and Matt Willis told fans he was 'really f****** sick'.

On X, Bourne posted a selfie and wrote: 'I'm still alive and kicking.'
