California father shoots sons Jimmy, 4, and Osmani, 11, dead after McDonald's custody visit

Adolfo Gramajo, 35, allegedly shot his two young sons dead on a Los Angeles street in broad daylight on Sunday, then turned the gun on himself in an apparent suicide attempt. He survived and is now in police custody receiving hospital treatment, booked on murder charges with bail set at $4 million. Detectives found both boys suffering gunshot wounds near Venice Boulevard in the Pico-Union neighbourhood before paramedics rushed all three to hospital, where Jimmy and Osmani were later pronounced dead.
The boys had been on a custody visit and Gramajo had taken them to McDonald's shortly before the shooting, having told their mother they would be at his parents' house.
The LA County Medical Examiner ruled Jimmy died from a 'close-range gunshot wound of the head' and Osmani from a 'gunshot wound of the head', with both deaths classified as homicides.
'They were the most adorable and charming boys, always happy, with contagious smiles,' the family wrote on social media, appealing for donations to cover funeral costs.
