The Old Rectory in Marston Moretaine, Bedfordshire, now carries a £1.8m price tag, down from the £2.25m sought in 2024. It belongs to his daughter Hannah Ingram-Moore, 56, and her husband Colin. The Grade II-listed 18th-century house has seven bedrooms and around 3.4 acres of moated gardens. The couple were made to tear down an unauthorised £200,000 spa block on the grounds.

The spa plans were filed in the Captain Tom Foundation's name, and trustees knew nothing.

Agents say the detached Coach House could become a gym or guest house, subject to planning.

Sir Tom raised £39m for the NHS walking garden laps, then died of Covid in February 2021.
