Capybara triplets are born at Edinburgh Zoo, leaving viral star Bru 'a little grumpy' about losing the spotlight

Three newborn capybara pups were found by Edinburgh Zoo keepers on Wednesday morning, having arrived overnight from parents Luna and Rodney. The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland reported that the triplets are in good health and staying close to their mother, with a first health check expected in the coming weeks to establish their genders and names.
Bru, born in May as the first capybara born in Scotland in 18 years, had become an internet sensation before his siblings appeared.
Head of animal care Darren McGarry described the family dynamics as 'like something from a soap opera' — Cali dominates the group, Luna takes her lead, and 'it is always the quiet ones' when it comes to dad Rodney.
Rodney was recently identified as the second capybara in a viral poolside photograph — pictured alongside Luna's sister Cali rather than Luna herself.
