Caroline Flack's brother took his own life on Father's Day after 'never recovering' from her death, inquest hears

Paul Flack, 55, had always assured his partner of 32 years, Joanna Millington, that he would never take his own life. On the evening he died, his daughter offered him tea and a piece of cake she had baked, but he turned it down and headed to the shop to buy beer instead. Norfolk area coroner Johanna Thompson returned a narrative conclusion, noting that his intent remained unknown.

His father Ian died at 77 in November 2025 following a dementia diagnosis.

He visited his GP over low mood in August 2020 but did not attend counselling.

In 2024, he joined his family to dedicate a suicide prevention bench to Caroline's memory.
