'Categorically untrue': BBC denies James Acaster complained about being teased by Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan on Celebrity Traitors

An unnamed production insider had claimed Acaster got 'annoyed and upset' away from the cameras over the pair's banter. He reportedly told producers he felt 'singled out'. Although the three comics seemed like natural allies, they were reportedly 'very different people'. A BBC spokesperson insisted there were 'no incidents of this nature' and no evidence for the allegations.

Rob and Romesh reportedly 'thought they were having a bit of a laugh'.

Representatives for Beckett and Ranganathan have also responded to the reports.

Joe Lycett has admitted being a 'silly billy' on the hit BBC One series.
