CBS reporter deletes post calling Michigan Senate hopeful Abdul El-Sayed's Muslim Brotherhood answer a 'spectacular self own'

CBS News correspondent Jan Crawford had thanked the questioner, Tommy, for 'triggering' El-Sayed, saying she watched twice to catch his 'nanosecond' disavowal. At Saturday's town hall in Caro, El-Sayed replied 'Sure. Yeah, absolutely' before demanding to know why he was being asked. Republican rival Mike Rogers told CNN's Dana Bash the press is 'eager' to protect El-Sayed. The pair clash on November 3 for retiring Senator Gary Peters' seat.

Rogers claims El-Sayed has 'a long history of supporting the Muslim Brotherhood'.

El-Sayed invoked JFK, saying: 'I'm not running to be a Muslim senator.'

Tommy is reportedly an ex-GOP staffer with 'Christian nationalist ties'.
