CCTV captures two men shooting each other over 'disrespect' at a Birmingham nightclub as a bullet hits a food seller
Aaron Nubie, 47, and Kimani Durrell-Smith, 28, were each jailed for 18 years on Thursday over the gunfight at FJ Lounge in Aston. One round tore through Durrell-Smith's shoulder and struck jerk chicken vendor Garth Pantry, partially collapsing his lung. Nubie came back to the club around 6am to settle a perceived slight. Both men opened fire within a fraction of a second.
Nubie told Birmingham Crown Court it was 'a form of self-defence'.
Garth Pantry is suffering sleepless nights and has not worked since he was shot.
Durrell-Smith never went to hospital, despite carrying a bullet wound through his shoulder.
