Chancellor John Healey insists employers ARE 'working people' in a slapdown to his Treasury deputy Emma Reynolds

Tory MP Esther McVey forced the showdown in the Commons, pressing Healey directly on whether he agreed with Reynolds that employers are not working people. Healey told MPs "of course they are", distancing himself from his own deputy's comments just days after the Budget.
Reynolds sparked the row on Sunday by saying: 'I don't think employers are working people, they are companies.'
Healey defended the Budget as a 'breathing space', saying he had protected income earned through dividends reinvested into business.
Labour raised employer national insurance by £25bn despite pre-election promises not to hike taxes on working people.
