Charity support worker wins £2,160 after her boss screamed 'I am the CEO' in her face and trustees sacked her

Matthew Gibbs, CEO of The Carrbridge Centre in Wirral, Merseyside, was also found to have danced on a table thrusting his hips and used 'inappropriate sexualised language' towards staff. Julie Mayes, a community support worker helping vulnerable families and the elderly, was fired after trustees wrongly assumed she had complained about Gibbs at community meetings.
Gibbs also hurled boxes around the office and was so aggressive that at least one volunteer quit.
Trustees sacked Mayes without conducting any proper investigation into the allegations against her.
Liverpool Employment Tribunal awarded Mayes £2,160.81, finding she had been unfairly dismissed.
