Charity Women's Aid warns Big Brother risks 'presenting abuse as a form of entertainment' while ITV keeps Omar in the house

Veronica Oakeshott, Women's Aid head of external affairs, said the charity received messages from numerous viewers after Monday's confrontation between Omar El Mayer, 21, and Rhianna Collins, 21. He told her 'don't cry', 'don't look away from me' and 'sort yourself out'. Oakeshott called on ITV to engage domestic abuse experts to 'protect contestants'. Ofcom complaints continue to rise, yet ITV has declined to take any action and Omar remains in the house.

Rhianna broke off the relationship, though the two were back in bed together cuddling by the end of the evening.

Former Radio One DJ Dean McCullough said Omar 'needs removed' with immediate effect.
