Vincent Lorenzo Fiordilino, whose blood was declared "too acidic" to revive, was found alive by medical examiner staff more than five hours after being pronounced dead.

Alexus Fiordilino says her mother-in-law heard 18-month-old Vincent breathing, but hospital staff told her the sound was 'normal'. Gilbert police have asked Arizona's Attorney General to review possible felony child abuse charges against the doctor. Vincent suffered extensive brain damage and will need lifelong care. 'There isn't a day I don't think about that day,' his mother said.

Vincent was found face down in a family pool during a Super Bowl Sunday party on February 8.

Dr Aryan Toosi called time of death and allegedly said Vincent's blood was 'too acidic' to save.

The family plans to sue Mercy Gilbert Medical Center and the doctor.
