Chemistry teacher found guilty of having sex with 14-year-old pupil 'about 20 or 30 times' in the 1980s

Christ's College in Finchley is where Sally-Anne Bowen allegedly had sex with one teenage boy between 20 and 30 times over a five-month period in the late 1980s.

Sally-Anne Bowen, convicted of seven counts of indecent assault, is due to be sentenced on 1 October after one victim said he stayed silent for decades to protect her.

Sally-Anne Bowen, 65, was convicted at Harrow Crown Court on seven counts of indecent assault after seducing two schoolboys aged 14 and 15 at Christ's College, Finchley, north London, where she taught chemistry in the late 1980s. A jury returned majority verdicts after six and a half hours of deliberation, finding she had pursued sexual relationships with both teenagers while in her mid-20s. Now of Hemel Hempstead, Bowen showed no emotion as the verdicts were read out and had denied all charges as 'total fabrication'.

One victim told the court he had sex with Bowen 'about 20 or 30 times', visited her home, and believed he had 'fallen in love' with her.

Bowen read from the Kama Sutra in class, discussed sex acts with pupils, and once pointed to a pornographic magazine saying: 'That's what my p***y looks like.'

A former pupil described her as acting like she was in 'a Sabrina Carpenter video', adding she 'felt more like trying to be one of us than a teacher'.
