David Smith, 41, has been jailed after being found guilty at the High Court in Livingston of a catalogue of serious child sexual offences, including the rape of three boys aged just seven, 10 and 11. The abuse in West Lothian spanned seven years, from 2013 to 2020, and the case was built on the accounts the victims later gave to officers.

Guilty verdict was delivered on Monday 26 October 2026, after a trial covering a catalogue of offences.

'Exploiting them for his own sexual gratification': Priestley's damning account of how Smith treated the three boys.

Police say they 'remain committed' to supporting victims of sexual crime and protecting children from harm and abuse.
