The victim was Abraham Diaw, Brown's former friend, who was struck twice with a 'heavy square shaped tequila bottle' and chased through Tape nightclub at around 3am on February 19, 2023. Vocal coach Omololu Akinlolu, 40, punched him in the head. While Diaw lay on the floor unable to defend himself, he was subjected to kicks. He was later treated at St Mary's Hospital for head and knee injuries.

Brown, 37, admitted affray in July but disputes playing a 'leading role'.

CCTV shown at Southwark Crown Court captured Brown being 'pulled away' from his victim.

Fans cheered as the masked Grammy winner arrived at court flanked by security guards.
