Christopher Reeve's son Will, 34, reveals he is cancer-free after battling rare aggressive testicular cancer

From the Newshound archive · first published 29 September 2026.

Will Reeve, son of Superman star Christopher Reeve and Good Morning America presenter, discovered a tender lump in the shower in April and was diagnosed with embryonal carcinoma — a rare, aggressive form of testicular cancer affecting mostly young men. His wife Amanda urged him to get an ultrasound after he initially dismissed the lump as "nothing." Will confirmed he is now completely cancer-free following a medical checkup on 8 September 2026.

Will underwent an orchiectomy in May, then a six-hour second surgery in June to remove lymph nodes after the cancer spread to his abdomen.

He completed several rounds of chemotherapy in July and used a cold cap to keep his hair, saying he never once felt sick despite the gruelling treatment.
