Giana Dettloff, a freshman cheerleader at North Central College in Naperville, was shot multiple times in the chest and pelvic region at an off-campus party near Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington at around 1:20 a.m. on Sunday. She had travelled to visit her best friend when gunfire erupted, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Nine people in total were shot, ranging in age from 16 to 22.

No arrests have been made, police confirmed on Tuesday, with toxicology results still pending.
