Comedian James Acaster confesses he is a Traitor BEFORE the roundtable vote on the eve of the Celebrity Traitors final

James Acaster, 41, stunned Celebrity Traitors viewers by stepping forward to declare himself a Traitor at the roundtable before any vote had taken place — the first time in the show's history a contestant has done so. He told the table 'I just wanna explain my situation. I was made a traitor,' and was immediately voted out. Fans on X called it 'easily the most unprecedented twist in Traitors history.'
Throughout the game Acaster had played as though he were a Faithful, and his reluctance to deceive anyone left him fundamentally at odds with the role he had been given from the beginning.
Both Maya Jama and Acaster had faced intense scrutiny after the Faithfuls connected them to Ross Kemp's murder in plain sight, with Michael Sheen, 57, pressing Acaster to explain his knowledge of the deadly perfume bottle.
The finale airs Friday, with Traitors Maya Jama and King Kenny still in the game and many viewers convinced the Faithfuls will never catch them.
