'Congratulations, you don't have MS': Anchorman star Christina Applegate reveals five-year misdiagnosis, but says she is getting WORSE

Christina Applegate, 54, said she was 'not happy at all' at the news, because she still cannot walk from the car to her doctor's room. She revealed it on her 'MeSsy' podcast with Jamie-Lynn Sigler after months away and a hospital stay. Doctors spotted the error after halting her infusions and using new brain MRI technology. An investigation into what is really wrong with her begins next week.

Dr Marwa Kaisey of Cedars-Sinai says almost one in five MS patients are misdiagnosed.

Applegate says she feels she 'let everybody down' as the condition's poster child.

'I lost everything. I lost my job,' she said of the past five years.
