Conman dubbed the 'Lord of Fraud', 79, admits child abuse image offences after the iPhone he denied having was found

Hugh Rodley searched at least 806 times for paedophilic content on his laptop, which held 198 indecent images of children. National Crime Agency officers arrested him at his home in Stoke Orchard, near Cheltenham, last December. Re-arrested in January, he claimed he had no mobile phone. Officers found one with 295 more images, used almost immediately after he was bailed.

Rodley pleaded guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court to seven counts and faces sentencing in November.

He was jailed for eight years in 2009 for trying to steal £229 million from a Japanese bank.

In 2012 he got seven more years for conning over 700 pensioners out of £6 million.
