Consultancy giant Accenture is eyeing a sale of its Chinese operations for up to $1.5bn after unsolicited interest

Accenture has brought in JPMorgan to run a strategic review of its business in China. The move follows approaches from would-be buyers over the past year, none of which Accenture went looking for. Its Greater China unit is the business in play. No buyer has been named and no deal has been agreed, so any sale remains only a possibility for now.

Accenture is the world's biggest publicly traded IT consultancy.

A deal could value the Chinese arm at as much as $1.5bn.
