Consultancy giant Accenture is weighing a $1.5bn sale of its Greater China business after unsolicited approaches from buyers

JPMorgan has been brought in to conduct a strategic review of the unit, which covers mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The expected buyer pool comprises private equity firms alongside a handful of strategic acquirers. Rather than exiting fully, Accenture may retain a sizeable minority stake in the business. Neither Accenture nor JPMorgan responded to requests for comment.

The potential sale is reportedly linked to Accenture's pivot toward artificial intelligence.

Accenture recently forecast 2027 revenue growth of 3% to 6%, ahead of analysts' estimates.

Accenture is the world's largest publicly traded IT consultancy.
