Cornell gang-rape accuser Jane Doe says she felt 'disbelieved' by the president as faculty prepare a rare no-confidence vote

In a letter of 14 October running to two pages, Jane Doe writes that Cornell president Michael Kotlikoff's initial reaction was 'along the lines of, Why did she wait so long to report it?' She had brought the alleged October 2024 Chi Phi fraternity attack to campus police on 8 November, roughly three weeks after it occurred. Cornell acknowledges that Kotlikoff made a comparable comment in January 2025 but maintains it was not directed at her.

One Cornell faculty member alleges a 'silencing of Jane Doe's voice' before a crucial senate meeting.

All seven accused former fraternity members deny wrongdoing, and none has been charged.

Doe says the remark crushed her faith in what 'had been my dream school'.
