Country icon Shania Twain is to headline the American-themed State Fayre festival in Chelmsford, Essex, next June

Shania Twain, 61, will take to the stage on June 19 at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, headlining the three-day State Fayre 2027 event that runs from June 18-20. The Canadian singer is the first confirmed act, with two further headliners still to be announced by organisers Anna-Sophie Mertens and Alex Simmonds.

State Fayre celebrates American culture, and country music has been the UK's fastest-growing music genre for three consecutive years.
