Country icon Shania Twain will headline the American-themed State Fayre festival at Chelmsford's Hylands Park next summer

Shania Twain, 61, is confirmed as the first headliner for State Fayre 2027, the American-themed festival returning to Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex, from June 18-20. Organisers Anna-Sophie Mertens and Alex Simmonds say two further headliners are still to be revealed.

Twain said: 'My UK fans are the best — summer will be here before we know it, see you all soon.'

Country music has been the UK's fastest-growing music genre for three consecutive years, according to figures cited by organisers.

Wide Open Country reports Twain is also confirmed to headline a separate festival at Blenheim Palace.
