Robert Beckman, 31, from Ann Arbor, Michigan, emailed YouTuber Joe Sugg his flight details and invited him to meet at the Hilton London Gatwick, sending Sugg and his partner, Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell, fleeing their rural home to stay with relatives as they prepared for the birth of their son.

Michigan man Robert Beckman slid a folder of letters under YouTuber Joe Sugg's London door in 2021.

'That silence was shattered by more letters,' YouTuber Joe Sugg said of brief lulls in the campaign.

Detective Sergeant James Gwynne of Sussex Police said Robert Beckman showed 'a complete disregard for the victim'.
