Court of Appeal is to hear residents' legal challenge to stop the Drumcree Orange Order parade today

Northern Ireland's Court of Appeal is scheduled to consider a residents' legal challenge to the authorisation of the Orange Order parade at Drumcree. The case is being heard more than a week after the parade's scheduled start date, with tensions at the site having persisted throughout that time.

The challenge is directed at the initial ruling that gave the go-ahead for the Orange Order march along the disputed Drumcree route.

Residents have taken their opposition to the Court of Appeal in a further attempt to block the parade altogether.
